a.k.a I got way too spendy in Superdrug...
They had new releases, they had 3 for 2, and they had 20% off makeup brushes. How could I resist!?
So I bought:
Sleek Creme To Powder Blush in French Rose
Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Setting Spray
Makeup Revolution Iconic Smokey Palette
MUA Luxe Whipped Velvet Blush in Spry
Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Paint in Laguna
Makeup Revolution Fortune Favours the Brave Palette
EcoTools Brush Roll Set
Real Techniques Shading Brush
Real Techniques Sculpting Brush
Real Techniques Blush Brush
I'll start with the Barry M Nail Paint, because I'm obsessed with it. I just can't resist a blue nail polish! It's seriously the most gorgeous colour ever. Supposedly the coconut helps with the condition of your nails, but I haven't seen anything yet. I need to stop buying nail polish, but the Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Paints come in some beautiful shades!
I've never actually bought anything from Makeup Revolution for myself. I got their Iconic Smokey, because I've had my eye on the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette, which this is a dupe for. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I used to be a big fan of a grey smokey eye back when I was first wearing makeup. And I of course had to get the Fortune Favours the Brave palette, because just look at it! Everyone has been blogging about it, and you can see why it's so popular. I can't wait to try it out. I think I prefer the colours on the bottom rather than the top, but I'm sure I'll try them all! I impulsively bought their setting spray as well, because I've never owned one. I'm hoping this will come in handy when the weather gets warmer, because my face eats up foundation like nobody's business.
I picked up two blushes, MUA Luxe Whipped Velvet Blush in Spry and Sleek Creme to Powder in French Rose. These two are polar opposites of each other - the MUA one is really subtle, meaning you have to use a lot of product to get a good colour, whereas the Sleek one is super pigmented! Luckily it blends out so you can tone it down a little bit...
20% off brushes was an offer that I just couldn't ignore. I had no real brushes for using on my cheeks, so the Real Techniques blush and sculpting brushes went straight into my basket. I got the shading brush because I'm in dire need of eyeshadow brushes. The Ecotools brush roll was a bargain that I couldn't resist. 4 brushes and a travel brush roll (not pictured) for only £7.49! I was on it like a car bonnet,
Because I go these in more than one shop, I've ended up with two of those neoprene pouches that they were giving out! They went straight in a charity bag... I never have any need for them!
Have you bought anything in Superdrug lately?
